We Are BACK!
IT’S TIIMMEEEEE!! PRO VOLLEYBALL IS BACK and there have been quite a few announcements so let’s get caught up!
On August 5th, the Pro Volleyball Federation announced their merge with the MAJOR LEAGUE VOLLEYBALL (MLV) becoming one new unified league.
There are now 8 teams in the league with the addition of Dallas Pulse.
Three more teams will make their debut in 2027. (Minnesota, Washington D.C., and Northern California)
And most importantly INDY IGNITE IS BACK!
Back in July, Indy Ignite announced a new head coach in Lauren Bertolocci. Get to know the name because she will make waves. A month later, Ignite announced the players they chose to resign…and they did not disappoint! Drum roll please…….retruning to your Indy Ignite: Azhani Tealer, Elena Scott, Anna DeBeer, Lydia Martin, Ainise Havili, Leketor Member-Meneh, and Blake Molher. Each one of them played instrumental roles in Indy Ignite’s incredible inaugural season last year, so getting them back is HUGE for us! In addition to the returns, Ignite brought in Alexandra Botezat (Italy), Mia Tuaniga (Atlanta), Kayla Lund (San Diego), and Camryn Hannah (Vegas) all of which are huge gets for Ignite.
Alright, let’s fast forward to this past Monday November 24th - the MLV DRAFT!!! To say I am excited is an absolute understatement. Okay, are you sitting down…the Indy Ignite have drafted Cara Cresse (Louisville), Emma Halter (Texas), Taylor Landfair (Nebraska), and Emoni Bush (Oklahoma). Guys, let me tell you right now, Indy will be LEATHAL. Every single one of these players on the roster, whether returns or newcomers, are competitors who want to win and will put in the work that it takes. On top of that both Emma Halter and Cara Cresse are from Indiana, so how cool is it this opportunity gets to bring them home. Buckle up Indy - Ignite is ready to bring the FIRE!
